Representational Work

Life is made of endless forms of duality, good and bad, yin and yang… the goal is take that duality in life and homogenize it, leaving the viewer with a snapshot of an entire arc. All the great and not so great memories swirling together all at once on the canvas. A lot of people are afraid of looking at life so morbidly, or so distilled, but artists exist to hit this head on. And in doing so, it becomes possible to leave a transcendent image that can impact a viewer deeply, whether or not they are afraid, whether or not they seek it. Artists find, access and show people what exists inside of them as human beings…the things that live inside all of us - Artists are interpreters, and we know how to tug those heavy strings - and then we can present them, to help those who cannot, and relate to those who can. I believe this is what creates timelessness.
