Ryan Blaine is a painter specializing in using the acrylic medium to portray a wide array of imaginative abstractions and landscapes. Through his abstract work he aims to combine the cerebral and analytical nature of cubism with the impressionist/post-impressionists’ fascination of light and color - Blended with the inclusion of the deep subconscious elements of surrealism, all conveyed through the expressive brushwork styles of the expressionist and abex movements. The goal is to carry on the tradition of practicing and expressing genuine creativity with an authentic and uniquely individualized approach, aiming to inspire others to do the same in the process. Fueled by the ethos of punk, the true motivator is self expression, with a strong and unwavering focus on originality. The work bridges the gap between specificity and vagueness, through the vehicle of perception, often playing on the quantum theory of observation (multi-perspective convergence/multi-dimensional viewpoints), while using shape and color to draw the viewer in and reward the viewer who lingers.
