Those who exploit the magic of expression for unnecessary profit, have yet to grasp a pure understanding of the true purpose of art…

Find Your Voice

Van Gogh wished to paint like Van Gogh and that’s why you wish to paint like Van Gogh… If you instead wish to paint like you, perhaps someday others will wish to paint like you too.

Sustainable Fulfillment.

It’s not about instant gratification, it’s not a milestone or a single achievement, it’s a lifestyle. It’s a way of being. You work for it and in turn, it will work for you. Everyday, find and dedicate time and energy. Be intentional and experimental simultaneously. Take time each day to get to the place where the ideas live and explore.

Some days it is easy, some days it’s impossible, but it takes effort to to see which type of day it is. NO EXCUSES. Life is an arc. Success happens in the arc, not in an instant. Find the successful “you” and embody that version of you. That will bring you success in the arc. That is sustainable fulfillment.

The approach is everything. I believe that if created from a certain place, found and developed individually, art can trigger a creative nature, a response in the viewer that they could develop further if desired. Simultaneously exposing the dullness of the pre-packaged modern experience, as well as encouraging a positive alternative for the future, through returning to our roots as humans and practicing regular, unapologetic creativity.

Life is made of endless forms of duality, good and bad, yin and yang - the goal is take that duality in life and homogenize it, leaving the viewer with a snapshot of an entire arc. All the great and not so great memories swirling together all at once on the canvas. A lot of people are afraid of looking at life so morbidly, or so distilled, but artists exist to hit this head on. And that leaves a transcendent image that can impact a viewer whether or not they are afraid, whether or not they seek it. It lives inside of them as human beings, it lives inside all of us - Artist are interpreters, and we know how to tug those strings. I believe this is what creates timelessness.

Whether you are aware of it or not, certain things call to you. The best artworks in my opinion are those that evoke a feeling of unknown wonder. The indescribable passion represented in new arrangements of shape and color.

It’s self expression. It’s an individual’s intrinsic, instinctual, intuitive understanding of the world, processed and made tangible.
